We first heard about the Zune phone rumors midway last year, and then decided to just bury it under the pile of new rumors about other devices since we haven’t heard anything about it since then. Today, however, word is that it could finally be announced at either MWC in Barcelona next month or CTIA in March. The Zune phone will apparently come with Window Mobile 7 as its OS complete with a “music subscription/purchasing service” and a 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording capabilities to boot. If it does take the center stage at MWC in February, this likewise supports the previous rumor that Microsoft will be unveiling Windows Mobile 7 at the said event.
Unfortunately, that’s all the info we have about the Zune phone and Windows Mobile 7 for now, but hopefully, more details will become available in the coming weeks.
