SONY ERICSSON VIVAS (KURARA) SYMBIAN PHONE NOW OFFICIAL…SORT OF

What you’re watching is a promo video of the Sony Ericsson Kurara, the phone maker’s second Symbian phone after the Sony Ericsson Satio. As you’ll probably notice, it’s now being referred to as the Sony Ericsson Vivas. It was, for a brief moment, official, but the press release has been pulled out. Fortunately though, its press photos are still available online. As far as features go, we’re a little disappointed to see a smaller 3.2-inch TFT touchscreen in lieu of the previously rumored 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen, but the rest of its specs live up to our expectation. The 8.1-megapixel AF camera capable of 720p video recording, WiFi, Bluetooth, PowerVR graphics, and ARM Cortex A8 processor are all still there. It will be available in Cosmic Black, Silver Moon, Venus Ruby, and Galaxy Blue colored iterations. The Sony Ericsson Vivas should be released within the next couple of months though price is still yet to be known.
