Confirming our previous post that iPhone OS 3.2 comes with video support, here’s evidence of it in the latest iPhone SDK.
Judging by the name of these icons, there’s definitely a provision in the iPhone OS 3.2 to accept or decline video calls. Will this also be included in upcoming iPhone OS 4.0 firmware? It’s highly unlikely that they’ll remove this feature in future iPhone OS versions considering that this is, after all, a step towards the right direction, but more importantly, if this any indication of things to come, then the 4G iPhone may indeed come packed with a front-facing camera for video conferencing purposes. For the record, iPhone OS 3.2 is currently only available on the iPad and it doesn’t even come with a camera.
