IPHONE BASEBAND 05.12 UNLOCK CAUGHT ON VIDEO
We now have two ways by which we can jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 - either by using PwnageTool 3.1.5 or choosing to go with sn0wbreeze. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about unlocking the iPhone baseband 05.12 since there still isn’t one available for public consumption. However, this video is proof that it can be done albeit being a bit more technical and hardcore than what we would want it to be.
This video was taken in a Turkish shop where they do iPhone baseband 05.12 unlocks for customers via hardware flash. It’s not the most convenient way to unlock the iPhone, but hey, as far as we know, it’s the only way to do an iPhone baseband 05.12 unlock at the moment.
Of course, you’ll obviously be voiding your warranty, but at least you can then use your iPhone on other carriers. Hopefully though, once the 4G iPhone is released, we’ll soon have an easier way to unlock baseband 05.12 on the iPhone in the comforts of our own homes without having to pry it open and ticker with its inner workings.
