For a brief moment, iPhone OS 4.0 beta 3 became available to developers, but even before a day could pass by, it has since then been pulled down to prevent it from further being downloaded. We’re not sure why, but Engadget has managed to secure a copy of it and found this neat looking dock featuring a set of iPod controls complete with what seems to be a screen orientation lock button (the iPad has a hardware button to lock screen orientation). So, how does one access these set of controls? When the app switcher is loaded, simply swipe to the far left and these controls will be revealed. We’re not sure what other new treats the latest iPhone OS 4.0 beta firmware comes loaded with (and we’re pretty sure there are more), but what we’re really dying to find out, and we’re certain we’re not alone in this, is whether or not it will be Spirit jailbreak-proof. It probably will be, but hey, there’s nothing wrong in hoping.
